Vinny is a dog like no other. His favorite thing in life is to be around his owner Lisa, doing whatever she is doing. (Vinny & Lisa shown in the first photo) Vinny brings love & joy to everyone he comes into contact with. He is incredibly intelligent, usually only needs to be shown how to do something once and he remembers and executes perfectly. Vinny didn’t even attend puppy school, he skipped that and went straight to agility when he was 6 months old. Vinny will be 9 years old at the end of this March. (but he and Lisa have a pact that he’s going to live forever)
Coming to work is one of Vinny’s all-time favorite things to do with Lisa. He won’t leave her side in the morning and as soon as he sees the ETM building, his tail won’t stop wagging. As Lisa navigates the building starting her day, Vinny will venture a bit to see his human co-workers to give puppy-kisses and get pets and treats (animal crackers are his favorite).
During ETM’s Halloween Open House, it was so heartwarming to see Vinny with all of the children. He was definitely the hit of our Haunted House! One of the children spotted Vinny and was so excited to get to pet him, and Lisa heard him say “a puppy! This is the best day ever!” Incredibly, later he gently played hide and seek with Danielle’s two year old grand-daughter in the lunch room, while we all watched with smiles.
It warms Lisa’s heart to see everyone’s reaction in the office when they see Vinny, and even more-so when they take a few moments to give him some pets and hugs. Vinny is all about the love and joy that he can bring and receive in the moment.
Vinny is not only ETM’s mascot, he is our role model – emulating a great way for us to aspire to live by showing kindness and gentleness to others.
