Chiang Sues Life Insurance Company for Violating Unclaimed Property Law

Here’s a story fresh off the presses from the state of California.
California’s Controller Chiang is suing a life insurance company for failure to allow access to records to perform an audit under the unclaimed property law.
This will be an interesting case to follow.
